Declare a War on Birds
Jan 15, 2009
After the bird attack on a US plane in New York, my friend Drew has started a coalition to help eradicate birds from the face of the planet. And I whole-heartedly agree to the point of taking action: I have accepted the post of Assistant BirdCzar on the War On Birds.
Please feel free to leave a video comment above. It’s quick and easy and it will help in the propaganda collaterals that need to be created to inform the public about why the government is in the war. And believe me: WE ARE IN THIS UNTIL THE END. (unlike, say, Vietnam or our Middle East “skirmishes”)

Minnesota’s Goose Hunting Forecast
The North Star State is one of the top goose hunting locales in the United States, and this year shouldn’t be any different.
by Noel Vick
There was a time when the daunting silhouettes of giant Canada geese darkened Midwestern skies. Symphonies of clucks and cries reverberated across the fields and marshes. Sometime around the turn of the last century, North America’s population of giants peaked.
Soon, though, their numbers would plummet in a startlingly short period. The precipitous decline wasn’t linked to any speculative comet flybys or meteor collisions, or the climatic transformations following the last Ice Age. Rather, like their winged cousin the passenger pigeon, which disappeared forever as a species in 1914, giant Canada geese suffered at the hands of man.
Our ancestors - without seasons or good reasons - harvested giant Canadas to near complete obliteration. Pedestrian egg hunters gathered the whites and yokes to feed their families. Hunters targeted adult birds. The marketplace urged shooters to take whatever they could.

[...] For years they have been waging war on us, with their constant bombing of our windshields and cars. Hell, Jason has taken a direct hit once or twice and lived to tell the harrowing tale, but this killing planes business is a sign that their terror is now far more terrible. We should have known this was coming honestly, they’ve been squawking about it for years but we never gave them this but credit and blew them off as an annoyance at most. Especially the early morning squawking on weekends when you are tying to sleep in - that was terrorism for sure but I know at least I was just to PC to call a spade a spade. Well that stops right here, right now. [...]

Schlomo, I am with the forces 100%. It will start with the sacrifice of one crow tonight, and countless more on the corner of Market and Battery when I return to SF. This battle will not end until the birds have surrendered… insurgents!
Your brother in the fight for our species,
John

Good work! Thank you!
I always wanted to write in my site something like that. Can I take part of your post to my blog?
Of course, I will add backlink?
Sincerely, Your Reader

I have been researching the Theory of the Responsibility of Birds lately and highly recommend careful study of the documentary evidence in Peter Greenaway’s “The Falls”.

Richard: I’m with you. We even have bird feeders … I’m just going to disguise myself as a cardinal, and when they come to the feeder pick them off, one by one … bwahhahahaha
Maurenn: says … well, nothing, she’s speechless …
Richard: bwahhahahaha …

I am trying to get a message to the administrator of EchoPlex Park channel on bliptv - who I presume is the administrator of this blog as well
Under creative commons (and if you don’t object), I was planning to use some clips from your “Failing the Maize” video for a student video about corn.
The video is on a student presentation at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, MI on the many pros and cons of the numerous uses of corn - will likely be several parts.
I am a news reporter and volunteer media advisor for the Michigan Earth keepers.
And the student who gave presentation is our student arm’s project coordinator (Ben Scheelk).
It appears you have Skype (so do I) and/or you could email me (see below).
I am going to use the following credit and would gladly add a name of videographer or anything else you’d like:
